Part 50

“What is wrong with you?”

“Nothing!” Alivda said.

Alivda was sitting on what she wanted now or rather who she wanted: a young caramel-skinned boy.

“I think something,” the boy said, totally confused. “Are you Gelack or something?”

“But not Demish!” Alivda yelled.

The boy didn’t know if that was an answer or if this girl just needed some serious help.

“Can I take you home?” the boy asked. “Did you escape from supervision or something?”

Alivda wasn’t listening. She was sick of talking. She grabbed the boy’s face and crushed her lips against his.

It was this scene that Amel saw when he rounded the corner.

“ALIVDA!” Amel yelled. She turned.

“Hi, Amelly!” Alivda giggled, and she jumped up off the shocked boy and ran again.

The boy just sat there, his face blank.

Amel raced after Alivda again.

A young caramel-skinned boy.
