Diff the Dragon by Angela Lott, illustrations by Richard Bartrop. An Okal Rel Universe Legacy Novella featuring the young Alivda
Angela Lott is the middle child of Lynda’s three daughters. She did two years of Business schooling at the College of New Caledonia and is now working as a receptionist at her local FYiDoctors. In her spare time she enjoys writing, video blogging, reading and watching very nerdy TV shows.
Amel smiled and massaged her too.
Okay, Ann thought, if that’s the way you want it, little terror.
Ann started to cry.
Amel turned away from Alivda to put his hand on Ann’s shoulder.
“What’s wrong?” he asked his voice full of concern.
“I never see you anymore!” Ann said. “And I miss you.”
She turned around and Alivda, who obviously thought she was faking, looked surprised to see Ann had tears running down her face.
Little did Alivda know – Ann was very good at this.
Amel almost melted with concern and went over to put his arm around Ann’s shoulder.
“I miss you and me,” Ann said, “together.” She ran her hand down his chest.
He quivered. Ann seized the moment and grabbed Amel in a tight embrace.
Ann could see Alivda over Amel’s shoulder and smirked at her. She had won.
Or so she thought. But Alivda didn’t fight fair. The four-year-old moved out of Ann’s line of sight.
The next thing Ann knew Alivda was between her and Amel. She had done a running jump onto the bed.
“She isn’t upset,” Alivda said, while Amel and Ann recovered from the shock of her arrival. “She is greedy.”
“Now why would you say a thing like that?” Amel asked, but Alivda had accomplished what she wanted: Amel was looking at her now.
“She wants you,” Alivda said. “But you are mine.”
Amel smiled and hugged his baby Diff.
“Okay!” Ann said, “I am just going to say it! Are we ever going to have sex again!?”
Amel just looked at Ann like she was crazy.
