Okal Rel science fiction books - parental pride in cross-cultural stereo

Writer-daughter Jennifer Lott's 2013 Xmas gift to Lynda Williams was an Okal Rel quote of the day stack for 2014, featuring intriguing snapshots of the ORU adventure from all titles in the series: Saga, Legacies and online.

From saga novel Unholy Science by Lynda Williams.

"Isn't she beautiful!" the proud father declared to the company, making the distressed nanny at his back emit a yelp. Vras was holding the infant so all could appreciate her well-formed body and tiny, milling limbs. The baby's gray eyes were wide open and tracked what was going on, but while she was precociously coordinated for a Demish newborn, her head wobbled.

Dela rushed to rescue her half-Vrellish daughter from her wholly Vrellish husband, scolding him roundly for a dozen errors in brandishing the baby, nude, before their guests.

"But she doesn't like being wrapped up in layers!" Amel heard a bewildered Vras protest.
