Young Lynda WIlliams

"My mother's grandfather was a Welsh bard, which seemed important, although the only thing my mother had to support this claim was a book of sermons written by him, in Welsh. A maternal great-great-grandfather was supposed to have been cuckolded by some King of England while he was attending at a royal birth in the capacity of physician. My father read epic poetry to me before I knew how to read for myself, and talked about his sister who regaled their large family with her serialized tales. In short, it was plain to me from an early age that stories were the stuff of life, and I was heir to them." -- lynda
